Yeah, that's what I was thinking but:
1- In 9 months I'll do both (spacer and drill brass plug) anyway.
2- A lean mixture means I'll be running hot. I'm in NE Oklahoma, and it'll be in the 100s in summertime. I may take some longer trips. I'm afraid I'll burn a piston.
3- Any other attempts to increase airflow will only make it hotter/leaner if I don't rich up the mixture.
4- I'd like to get better performance now if possible.....
